The current Great Falls High School building was completed in 1930.
The West Side of Memorial Stadium was completed in 1945

In 1962 the Bison Library doubled in size to make room
for more resources and classrooms.
In the 1960's the windows were blocked shut to
conserve heat in the winters.
In the 1970's, an extra door was added to the basement cafeteria to
meet safety regulations and a wood shop area was added.
Swarthout Fieldhouse was built in 1980 and sporting
events were held in the gym and pool areas.
In 1996, South Campus was added onto the fieldhouse to
hold more students in more classrooms.
Elevators were added in 1998 to make all floors
of GFHS handicap accessible.
In 1999, a wrestling room was added to the backside of the old gym.

Recently Great Falls High school has added a sky tunnel to connect the main campus to industrial tech classrooms.
New renovations have been made to the Fieldhouse gym.
The Bison statue has new lighting and a fence added.
The Tennis Courts have been converted into a faculty parking lot.

Currently, Great Falls High is working with L'Heureux Page Werner for construction ideas
on how to meet the wants of the community while meeting the needs of a modern day school,
and maintaining the integrity, character andtradition of the Bison home.
The following are some of the ideas and concepts being discussed:

The return of theater seating in the auditorium's balcony.
Benches on the south side of the gym.
Restoration of windows.
A connecting corridor between the two campuses.
